RIDE AWAY

Life is a cycle in which we ride
where stray egos come out to play
A peloton of personalities and pride
All trying to ride away.

Assertive to the front, the passive to the back
Separating the predator from the prey
But I can't hold back I must attack
Until I ride them all away.

When desperation pursues and holds my wheel
And misfortune blocks my way
My spear is carbon, the tip is steel
So to ride them all away.

When time attacks my body
With sickness and decay
I grimace my face and double my pace
When I ride them all away.

When the clouds of life gather against me
Threatening sorrow and dismay
I face it's wind and dig within
I will ride them all away.

As the chaos of life fails to contain you
Leave them only one thing they can say
You came to race and set the pace
When you rode them all away.

GET OUT THE WAY !

HOLE SHOT

Throttle twisted with the clutch inclined,

Hundreds of horses and all redlined.

Leaning foreword and straddled high,

Embracing with passion and ready to fly.

Dropping the clutch without hesitation,

Brings life to the beast and riders relation.

As the fractions pass in a blurry seen,

When the roosters fly and the engines scream.

Lighting fast, reflex or decision,

Is it a breakaway or curtain collision.
From hills high to valleys low ,

The better your time the faster you go.

Fatigue is gaining as muscle tire,

The engine grow hot as the pistons fire.

Body and bike melt as one,

Call it a hobby in the name of fun.

Just a weekend like all the rest,

Taking for granted what some do best !
